Available via Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, The Wind Waker brings back the original 2002 GameCube classic exclusively on Switch 2 on 5th June 2025. The latest video focuses on the game’s various combat encounters, including confrontations with basic enemies, a training session with master swordsman Orca, and fights against various boss characters.

Nintendo’s president, Shuntaro Furukawa, has stated that price changes for the Switch 2 may occur in the future depending on how the current tariff situation shakes out.
Speaking to investors (via Yahoo News, translated by Genki), Furukawa said that the focus for now is to “quickly popularise” the Switch 2 in order to help faciliate its immediate success. However, should the situation with tariffs change, prices may also change accordingly.

We all knew it was coming, but with Nintendo’s latest financial results, the inevitable is here; Pokémon Scarlet & Violet has overtaken Sword & Shield to be the second best-selling Pokémon game in the franchise.
During the previous financial results, Scarlet & Violet was a mere 220,000 copies behind the Generation 8 titles, but now, it has surpassed it, reaching 26.79 million sales, compared to Sword & Shield’s 26.72 million copies. Those figures go up to 31st March 2025.

The Hundred Line – Last Defense Academy is out now on Nintendo Switch and, by all accounts, it stands as one of the best games from directors Kazutaka Kodaka and Kotaro Uchikoshi.
It’s a pretty hefty title, too, boasting 100 unique endings with more narrative twists and turns than your average George R. R. Martin book. As such, a recent Denfaminicogamer interview (thanks, Automaton) with Kodaka and voice actors Taihi Kimura (Takumi Sumino) and Tomoyo Kurosawa (Nozomi Kirifuji / Kashimiya Karua) reveals just how extensive the script really is.

Accessory manufacturer JSAUX has revealed a rather fetching new Joy-Con charging dock for the upcoming Switch 2.
Though not yet available for pre-order on the official website at the time of writing, the ‘EnergyFlow Joy-Con Charging Dock’ will cost $35.99 and will charge up to four Joy-Con 2 controllers at once. It also sports a pretty slick RGB light strip, but this can be turned off if you’re not a fan of the distraction.

Late last year, Palworld developer Pocketpair announced that it was scrapping the Poké Ball-like summoning mechanic from its game as a result of its ongoing Nintendo lawsuit. Well, it looks like the changes aren’t stopping there, as the dev has today announced that more “disappointing” changes are yet to come.
In a new tweet, the company confirmed that the 2024 Pal Sphere update was indeed “a result of the ongoing litigation” and that the team was disappointed by its removal, but “the alternative would have led to an even greater deterioration of the gameplay experience for players”.
